"Qawem" is the Arabic word for "resist." It is from the root "q-w-m" meaning "to stand up" or "to rise up."
Long Term Goals
- Supporting the resistance in its struggle to liberate all of historic Palestine
- Providing aid to Palestine that is not tied to political parties and organizations whose primary goal is to undercut support for the resistance
- Ending all “US” aid to “Israel”: military, economic and political
- Fighting colonialism and “US” imperialism by linking the struggle against zionism to other struggles against oppression and repression where we live.
- Finding points of intersection in our work locally and globally to coordinate strategic action to advance common goals.
